Line Dance Etiquette - The 10 rules every class should follow

By 16:53:00 , , , , ,

1. Never ever walk across the middle of the floor during a teach or whilst the music is playing - always walk around the edge.
2. Never carry drinks across the floor
3. Do not stand on the dance floor to talk when others are still dancing.
4. When an instructor is teaching keep conversation to a minimum
5. Be considerate of beginner dancers, e.g. keep variations to a minimum if you are stood next to a beginner
6. Be considerate when forming lines, do not 'squeeze' into the middle of lines - you may end up pushing someone else out.
7. Be aware of other dancers when you're dancing
8. If dancing and you go wrong don't just stop dead - try to move with the flow so that no one collides with you.
9. Before beginning a floor split make sure there is sufficient space and that the dance is appropriate. Ideally floor splits should be called by the instructor/dj
10. Listen to the instructor/DJ
