10 reasons why I love Ranch Dance Radio Show

By 21:13:00 , , ,

I'm sure by now from reading my previous posts, that you've realised that I'm a huge fan of Lorraine Brown's Ranch Dance Radio Show which airs on a Wednesday evening and can also be listened to on demand from Mixcloud.

I absolutely love the show and I think it is brilliant, Lorraine has also been very kind in mentioning me on several occasions including this blog and sharing the link to the site on her Facebook page - for which I'm very grateful. (Love the fact that the line dance community are so supportive of each other and only want to see you succeed).

For those who have not heard the show yet (where have you been?) here are the reasons why I love the show and why I think everyone should be tuning in.

1. Lorraine plays a huge number of tracks in the 2 hour slot - If you want to listen to line dance music this is the place to hear it.

2. Lorraine plays music from all genre's so there really is something for every one's taste whether you like pop, country, Irish, or Latin (the list is endless)

3. The music played is for dances of all levels, whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced dancer there is a track out there to a dance for your ability.

4. Lorraine does some great interviews with choreographers and personalities, one of my favourites was her interview with Pedro Machado.

5. Lorraine doesn't just feature the dances of the big choreographers either - No she also features those of the lesser known and up and coming choreographers giving them the opportunity to be a bit more well known.

6. Lorraine is very good as host, she is great to listen and seems very welcoming - you feel like you know her as a line dance friend in only a short time.

7. The Line Dancer magazine charts are also played in the latter part of the show so you know what is in the top twenty

8. Also if you have any requests you can send them in and she will in most cases play them.

9. Ranch Dance radio is also a great place to hear the latest line dance news and gossip which is happening all across the scene.

10. And Finally... It's free (very rare nowadays) and you can listen to it any time you like through the Mixcloud Service

If you're not listening then you should be. Tune in between 8-10pm Wednesday nights on Kirlkcaldy radio k107.
